FAQ

Tell me about history of Dachshunds...

The dachshunds known for its long elongated body and short legs, has a fascinating history dating back to at least the 15th century in Europe. Originally bred in Germany, they were primary used for hunting badgers (hence the name "Dachshund", which translates to "badger dog" in German), as well as other burrow-dwelling animals like rabbits. The long slander bodies allow them to navigate  through tunnels and burrows with ease.

Dachshunds gained popularity beyond Germany in 19th century, especially England and later in the United States. Queen Victoria was particularly fond of the breed, helping to popularize it in the UK. In the US, Dachshunds became  widely recognized in the early 20th century and quickly gained popularity, eventually becoming the most beloved dogs breed in the country.

How do I reserve the puppy?

In order to reserve the puppy at first you should get in touch with me either by phone or by email: (preferably) and we will start your approval process. It is important to us that our puppies go home to loving and knowledgeable families so we will conduct a video interview and meet your family, check out the home, and verify that you are ready to take home your little one. We have the right to refuse to sell the puppy to you if we decided that your home is not safe for our puppy. After the interview if we approve you as an owner we will collect a non-refundable deposit of $600 that will be deducted from the final price of the puppy cost.

What is the fee for a puppy?

The fee for each puppy changes depending on the color, gender, and conformation. But the starting price is $3,000 per puppy.

Do you ship puppies to other states?

Unfortunately, we are a small company and we prioritize the health and welfare  of our pups over all else.  Thus, we are not comfortable shipping our babies to other stets through third parties and cannot accommodate the air transport at this time. All pick-ups must be performed by the family intending to keep the puppy, but we are happy to coordinate around flight time if coming from further away than local areas.

Can we see where the puppies are raised? Can we meet mom and dad?

When you come to meet the puppy you are welcome to meet the mom as well and see where they were raised. Sometimes we mate our girls with a stud that lives in different state and that makes it impossible to meet the dad personally.

What veterinary checks are performed before the puppies go home with us?

Before going to a new home, your puppy will be examined by a veterinarian to be sure that the puppy is in good health and without any congenital defects. They will also have their first set of vaccines performed, which protects them from viruses in the environment (distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, and parainfluenza). They also will be dewormed twice.
